Auch das Aufschneiden der Blasen und das Ablassen der merkwürdigen Flüssigkeiten darin bringt keine Besserung (der Maler nutzt diese Flüssigkeiten zum Malen), bald machen sich Würmer auf ihr breit und der Maler, der sie wie unter Zwang immer wieder malen muß, kommt langsam dem Wahnsinn nahe...
